When I saw these photos, I instantly got warm chills, optimistic thoughts and obviously... nostalgic. They're from the life of my friend, Johnny White.They remind me of a place where you can never be too young.
And everyday life without the constant pressure of something.
The way they posed, the way they didn't know how they'd make an impression on someone in the 20 years or so.

Disneyland was a blur and on my birthday. We had champagne and fun filled nostalgia.
and remember to keep up with the masses. Middle America can be "so advanced". I did enjoy
the cliche/ness of clam chowder in a bread bowl. But did'nt enjoy the attire people decided to sport

Home House it is. Its located in London's Portman Square. This Square was

built as a private house for the Countess of Home by the

18th- century whiz Robert Adam. Then of course they then commissioned

Zaha Hadid to design the bar and lounge, they were looking for, "...an evironment where the bar completely dominates the space. Using a dynamic vertical gesture of fludity, we were able to generate an exciting dichotomy with the Cartesian arrangement of the Georgian space."

Angst of the Summer

Here are a series of four sketches I did on tracing paper.

Each are from Purple fashion magazine. I then applied

raw sugar on each of them. They are by far the pieces I'am

most proud, they feature sexuality, questionable suggestions,

simplicity and sophistication. Which I'am always battling myself.

Christopher Barraza, the unsung hero

Here is the first series of Portraits I'm doing with artists,

loved ones and people that I think are fascinating, amusing and wonderful.

I asked Christopher what what tickled his fancy and how he survives in the city we call Los Angeles. Because god do we need vices.

He's a sucker for good tacos, and dos-x beer. Collects scraps and old pictures from magazines, and other sources in hopes of creating collages. But he ends up with a collection of paper, but in hopes of one day taking the time to sit down and making a wonderful explosion. He watches porn for anthropological reasons and research. And is currently obsessed with the 2 person party, pop song philosophy. The phrases "when in doubt, admit it" and "don't tell me; show me". Chris owns a mini garden of succulents, chocolate veils and donkey ears. He's studying fine art with an emphasis in photography, but figures he'll be designing furniture in the upcoming years, OR just to get by. He has a major crush on drag queens, and scantily clad masculine men. Lives for lavender tea. Cleans his toes often and keeps them nails short. And has kept every magazine he has bought since the beginning of last year, which includes Artforum, Frieze, Source, i-D, Arena Homme, Wallpaper and several other issues that gave him a boner.

a magazine called H. They're located in Barcelona, Spain.
The girl that interviewed me, Tamara, was super

My career as a high school student has come to an end!
I checked out yesterday. No more awkward teenagers. Useless
projects. Stress. I checked out and will be graduating next thursday.

Its an extremely surreal time, and I've been ready to start a fresh chapter

i obtained little pity. but our school threw a celebration

the years she would have lived.

Nearing towards the end of high school.
That thing called prom rolls around. I wasn't too excited about the
whole event. I'd rather have dinner at the Chautea Marmont then dancing
with a bunch of hormonal teenagers. But I went, only because I knew
I had to. It was in fact my senior prom. The dresses were ludacris, the food
tasted like cardboard and so many kids got pregnant that night. i know.

the coachella weekend was rather

Last week I went with with a friend of mine to the house of Antonio Villaraigosa.
I guess he was hosting a get together supporting fashion "going green".
I thought it was really cute how his backyard was set up with mannequins
and such surrounding a courtyard. Trovata showed. Skin showed and many others.
I wanted to ask the mayor what his favorite taco stand was in LA.

Last week I was able to recycle this very danty silk dress
that I found while thrifting. The outcome is quite lovely!
I'll do a mini- photoshoot soon to show all of you.

Prior to the mayor. I went by the Ashley Paige show.
Which was not worth getting into. I was told the seating limit was 300,
and they RSVP'd for 800 guests. NOT COOL. Though I was able to sneak backstage and send my regards.
The collection was amazing! congrats Ashley.

I've been listening to "Cruel Summer" all day. I can't wait to wear oxford shorts and drink cucumber water.

Its what my mother told me while we were headed to lunch this past Saturday.
She was referring to her Marc by Marc bag. And I truly believed her,
since she would frequently buy a purse every 3 weeks. But she has used
this bag for about almost a year (thats a big deal according to her).

And it hit me, I wanted to be that designer. To be the designer that had a reputation
or style to poop out "jaw dropping" pieces. The designer that made
women, men and just people in general feel confident and great with the purchase
they made. Especially frequent shoppers.
My mother even purchased the matching wallet and coin
purse, which might make it a little too extreme, but hey, it makes her happy.

A Cup of Exploitation

I contemplated this for the hours I was given. I decided not to go
through with the reality show offer. It was as simple as riding bike (although
I do not know how), but I felt exploited. The network was trying to turn me into
something I wasnt. They wanted the cliche gay kid who loved fashion, I mean
although I'am that gay kid that loves fashion. There is a certain extent AND not
in such an annoying way... in which they wanted. There are several other
reasons why I didnt go underway with it, but I wish Ashley and the rest of
the characters plenty of luck.

Plus, I have several things going on. and MAYBE the thought
of the paps, it just scares me to death.

oh god, LA fashion week is on its way, I'm only excited for Ashley Paige.
I went by the studio this past week... this might the season that people will realize
she truly is well rounded "omg" designer

Boldly Awaiting

This past weekend was full of angst and complete confusion.
I believe an end of the fashion weeks, not only helps me
reflect on myself as an artist, but as what the economy and culture has driven
the designers to do.
Marc Jacobs "had no inspiration" for this season. What has driven
these designers to present such a drabbed but detailed oriented collection is the simple fact
that right now, the trends are all mass marketed and
heavily targeted towards everyone at every
price point. I believe designers are getting bored, but staying on top of what they believe in.

I also thought and found fascinating was how the designers make the trends,
then the department stores catch on, then middle
american sucks it dry for everyone to be a part of.
Hence the massive jewels on every garment AND
who can forget leggings??!!!!
My motto: be your own fashion icon.

I was presented with an amazing opportunity this afternoon...
I was asked to design shirts, sweaters and (possibly) the gym uniform
for my High School.

Its a big deal to say the least, but I'm honored and hopefully
I can do a great job at doing so. I believe this could be an excellent challenge
as a designer. To present my vision as something "trendy" and "cool", and for
the fellow student body to respond well to it.... we'll see!

I picked up some light sweaters to layer for spring.

But The Salvation Army, which I opted for is always overwhelming because of fine treasures and

I happen to spot several Anne Klein Sportcoats, Fake Emporio Armani shirts
and Perry Ellis lace ups, which I was tempted to buy, just to have. They werent

I've always had this weakness for anyone in
Vans Classic Lace ups, with shorts and no socks on.
It just gave me this nostalgic feeling of when
I was a child growing up in LA and spending my summer

As I was eating about 3 handfuls of peanut M&M's, I noticed this fella.
Only to be very odd and special. I kinda felt bad for it. How all of the M&M's
look almost alike, but this one obviously stood out. Was it an extra nipple?
Did someone make it like this on purpose in the M&M factory? But it grew on me
and as it lies here on my bed, I can only imagine what it will go through when
it wants to get a job.

What would an M&M write if it was writing it's own resume?!

Past few days have been hectic and full of catching up on old friends and news. Paper Magazine was in town this
week for their LA issue. Wednesday was the first day to arrive and I headed with Aimee and met up with Evan Cohen for the
art opening hosted by Mena Suvari, it was all very cute, BUT hot and muggy. Ran into Naima from Reserve which was a great catch up, and several other coootays. Later ran my butt up to the Colette dance perty... blahh

It was a delight to see Mickey Boardman as well...
whose basically known me since I was 15.

It was a bit of a slow party, so eh.
Friday I forgot what I did, but decided that I wanted a change.

Saturday was NUTS.
Paper had their 24 Hour store which was again, hot and sticky
Met up with Rudj Escobar from Uber...

Also ran into Rose Apodaca

Sunday: photoshoot with Paper Magazine/ Levi's (thanks for the free jeans Joe) and had this amazing dinner
with Cohen in Chinatown. Then caught up with Raicich and Barazza, its delightful to be back.

They remind me of 1996, when everything was glamorous and depressing. The red lipstick giving me
flashbacks of my mother, when she would be getting ready for a lavish party, while Sade is blarring in the background.
How she would leave me with my grandmother and becoming curious about sex, drugs and everything in between.
I knew I was different, it was simply natural to me. So here come the Tom Ford Ads, they give me chills to think about
